Teen Advances to USA Diving Junior Zone Championships

Beth Dzwierzynski of Elm Grove will participate in the USA Diving Summer Junior Zone C Championships in Columbia, MO on July 7-10.

Dzwierzynski finished fifth in 3-meter springboard (344.65), sixth in 1-meter springboard (333.45) and second in the 10-meter platform (336.60) in the Region 5 Championships at Schroeder YMCA last weekend. The top 15 in each event advanced to the Zone C Championships.

Region 5 includes Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. The Zone C event brings in Region 6, including Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming.

Dzwierzynski will be a junior at Divine Savior Holy Angels this fall. Last year she finished third in the WIAA Division 1 diving competition.
