Thanksgiving 2017: These Wisconsin Stores Will Be Closed

As shoppers get ready for the 2017 holiday shopping season, retailers and shopping malls weigh the benefits of opening on Thanksgiving and when to open on Black Friday.

National retailers that are expected to open on Thanksgiving include: Best Buy, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Sears, Target and Walmart. Hours for Thanksgiving and Black Friday have not yet been announced by the chains yet, although some of their holiday ads have begun to leak online.

In 2016, Bayshore Mall, Brookfield Square and Regency Mall closed on Thanksgiving, and opened early on Black Friday. Other malls in southeastern Wisconsin, including the Prime Outlets in Pleasant Prairie, Wauwatosa's Mayfair Mall and Greendale's Southridge Mall all opened on Thanksgiving.
