Theran Stautz Joins R.A. Smith National as Ecologist, Project Manager

Theran Stautz joins R.A. Smith National in Madison, Wisconsin, as our newest ecologist and project manager.

MADISON, Wis. — Theran Stautz has joined R.A. Smith National – a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm – in Madison, Wis., as an ecologist and project manager.

Stautz is one of only nine Assured Wetland Delineators with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. He has more than 10 years of wetland and forest resource experience in the Great Lakes and Southeast regions of the United States. Additionally, Stautz has experience in vegetation surveys and inventories, wetland mitigation monitoring, native habitat restoration, invasive species management and prescribed burn activities. He has worked with local, state and federal clients, including the U.S. Forest Service and Department of Defense.

Stautz holds a bachelor’s degree in natural resources in forest science and recreational resources management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
