U.S. Bank Laying Off 40 Workers In Brookfield

U.S. Bank is laying off 40 workers at its Brookfield mortgage lending center. Here's when:

BROOKFIELD, WI -- U.S. Bank will lay off 40 employees at its mortgage lending center in Brookfield, the company has announced.

According to a mass layoff notice from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, U.S. Bank has provided formal notice of a workforce reduction at its Brookfield location: 16900 W. Capitol Drive.

Among those being laid off include mortgage loan processors, closers, coordinators and supervisors in addition to operations managers and quality analysts.

A total of 40 employees will be laid off beginning on April 5. DWD officials said the department and its regional workforce partner, the Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington Workforce Development Board will offer unemployment services to the affected workers.

In October, U.S. Bank reported it would cut about one percent of its workforce company-wide.
