Vining Declares Victory In State 14th Assembly Seat
Vining, a Democrat, says she earned the victory by tallying slightly more than 100 votes over her Republican opponent, Matt Adamczyk.

WAUWATOSA, WI -- Robyn Vining, candidate for Wisconsin's 14th Assembly District, declared victory Tuesday evening after achieving a decisive lead in updated results in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.
Vining, a Democrat, earned the victory by tallying slightly more than 100 votes over her Republican opponent, Matt Adamczyk.
βIt is an incredible honor to be elected to represent the people of the 14th Assembly District,β
said Vining in a prepared statement. βYesterday, I promised that I would not stop until every vote was counted. Today, we see the results.β

The 14th Assembly District includes parts of the City of Brookfield, the Town of Brookfield, the City of Wauwatosa, and the City of Milwaukee.

According to an Associated Press report, Adamczyk said he would wait until an official canvass is completed to decide whether to pursue a recount. If the result is confirmed for Vining, it would leave Republicans with a 63-36 edge in the State Assembly.
βIβd like to thank all the people who supported me in my election for the 14th district. Iβm heartened by all the people who have reached out offering their support as we await the formal result. This new unofficial result discovery is the reason we have a canvass. I will wait until after the official canvass results to announce my decision whether or not I pursue a recount,β Adamczyk said in a prepared statement.

Prior to the election, Vining told Patch that she could see winning the district.
"I believe this seat is winnable at a pivotal point for our state and our nation, and I think I'm the

Vining is a former pastor turned entrepreneur who has spent the past nine years building asuccessful photography business. She recently launched Folio MKE, a collaborative workspace/community for women entrepreneurs.
She is a founding board member of Exploit No More, which works to end child sex trafficking, and a founding member of Help Portrait Milwaukee and The Milwaukee Portrait Project, initiatives that serve some of the city's most vulnerable residents.
