Von Maur To Host Grand Opening at The Corners of Brookfield: Report
The new store is the 32nd in the Iowa-based upscale retail chain.

BROOKFIELD, WI — An upscale department store is opening its doors this week in The Corners of Brookfield, a new retail-residential development, according to a media report.
Von Maur, the Iowa-based retailer, will host a grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m. Saturday for the 150,000-square-foot store, its first in Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
Amenities in the new store will include live piano music, wide aisles, a fireplace, artwork and no “sale” signs hanging from the ceilings, company President Jim von Maur told the paper during a tur of the store on Monday. It's part of an effort to create a relaxed atmosphere for shoppers, he said.
