Watch As Authorities Blow Up Beaver Dam Apartment
Chemicals found in the house were deemed too dangerous to move, so authorities are going to detonate them in place. Watch live.

BEAVER DAM, WI — Chemicals found in an apartment in Beaver Dam are deemed so dangerous they cannot be moved and must be detonated in-place, according to Beaver Dam police chief John Kreuzinger.
According to a WISN report, a "significant amount of highly-volatile homemade explosives" were found after a Monday afternoon explosion at the Village Glen Apartments that left one man dead and displaced about 150 residents. "We are doing everything possible to minimize damage to the units and surrounding properties," Kreuziger said.
Authorities are planning on a 1 p.m. detonation, though it may take more time, according to reports. WISN 12 is covering the event live via helicopter.
