Whirlyball Unveils Plans For 45,000 Sq. Ft. Entertainment Center

BROOKFIELD, WI — Officials in Brookfield will be considering plans for the construction of a new 45,000 square foot entertainment center and restaurant with outdoor seating for Whirlyball. According to official documents, the center would be located at 115 S. Moorland Road in the Brookfield Square shopping center.

The Brookfield Plan Commission will be voting on plans at their July 9 meeting.

Whirlyball is described as a game that combines lacrosse, hockey, basketball and bumper cars into a game of skill coupled with chance. While piloting bumper cars, two teams of five use handheld scoops to pass a whiffle ball to each other - and ultimately trying to score at a target.

The plans also include bowling lanes, a laser tag arena, bar, restaurant and multiple event spaces.

According to meeting documents, the center is expected to accommodate groups of up to 1,1000 people with indoor seating for 663 people.

Adam Elias, vice president of strategic planning for Whirlyball said the Brookfield center would be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
