Wisconsin's Best School Districts: New Rankings Released

WISCONSIN — Niche has ranked Wisconsin’s best school districts for 2019 and the School District of Whitefish Bay s the No.1 school district in the state.

The rankings were released this week by Niche as part of its 2019 K-12 rankings. Niche ranked a total of 100 School Districts in Wisconsin.

The Elmbrook School District, Greendale School District, Mequon-Thiensville School District and Cedarburg School District closed out the top five spots in the state.

According to Niche, the Jericho Union Free School District in Jericho, New York, is the best school district in the country overall. With an overall Niche grade of A+, the district received a grade of A+ in academics, teachers, clubs and activities, college prep and health and safety. In the category of diversity, Niche awarded the school district a B+.

To arrive at these rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)
