Woman, 23, Got 2nd OWI Knowing She Shouldn't Be Driving
In the middle of the night without lights, and as much off the road as on it, woman admits she's had way too many.

A 23-year-old Pewaukee woman is facing her second charge of drunken driving after she was stopped for driving recklessly and without lights the night of July 28.
At 11:09 p.m., a patrol officer was sitting in a parking lotΒ atΒ Calhoun and Blue MoundΒ roads, monitoring traffic. He saw a car approachingΒ on Calhoun without its headlights on and followed as it turned onto Wisconsin Avenue, swerved across the center line, overcorrected and almost hit several mailboxes, and theΒ drove for some distance with two wheelsΒ on the grass.
When the officer pulled behind herΒ and hit his emergency lights, the driver pulled even farther right andΒ stopped her carΒ completely off the roadway.
When the officer walked up to her car, the woman blurted out aboutΒ not having her headlights on β and then turned them on.
That was a little late and the least of her worries, compared with her other driving violations and her rather obvious condition. The officer said she smelled strongly of alcohol and had the usual glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech of the drunken driving suspect.
When asked if she'd been drinking, she admitted she'd hadΒ a couple, and then said, "Well, a lot, and I shouldnβt be driving."
So true. She failed sobriety tests badly andΒ blew a .16 blood alcohol concentration on a breath test, double the limit to drive in Wisconsin.
