5 Things Parents Of Seniors Should Know
As our children grow into adults we sometimes think that there is so little left for us to do.

I talked with Mr. Eben principal of and here are his recommendations on how to avoid that senior slide.
- Know exactly where your child stands as far as graduation. Β Be abreast of things like credits, fines, deadlines, etc.. You don't want to miss out in June because you didn't know.
- Don't let them take the easy road. Β Seniors love to have "a kick back senior year." Β There are two major problems with that philosophy: Colleges do not like it and the lack of rigor will hurt acceptance opportunities. Β Also, too much idle/play time usually increases the chance of trouble finding you...you want busy seniors.
- Keep them involved in school. Β Funny how seniors take this year and pull away. Β They get jobs and spend less time at school. Β It can lead to regret later. Β Most importantly, the school has people there looking out for your kids, even the seniors.
- Talk to a counselor about financial aid. Β You can help that critical issue along by arming yourself with information. Students will let this slide and lose out on money that can finance their dream. Β
- Pray a lot.
