According to authorities, an initial investigation of the crash shows the operator of the commercial motor vehicle was driving westbound on the bypass and was attempting to turn South onto Pine St.

The operator of the motorcycle, a 56 year old male from Cudahy was driving E/B on the bypass when he collided with the truck. At the time of the crash the traffic signals were working properly and it appears the operator of the truck failed to yield to the right of way of the motorcycle operator.
