Are Things Getting A little Weird On True Blood?

Lisa Brennan says... yes.

In the next episode of the "You Smell Like Dinner" True Blood series, the story continues to focus on Sookie adjusting to the new realities of Bon Temps after a trip away for a year. Bill reveals pieces of his past, Eric crashes a witches’ meeting, Jason gets his wounds licked, Andy struggles with his addiction, Sam learns of Luna’s special talent, Jessica satisfies her blood cravings and Arlene witnesses strange behavior from her family.

The problem in Bon Temps is that there are so many story lines going on all at once. It appears that the producers will not run out of story line, but will keep viewers engaged in all the various story lines may be a challenge. I love this show. But I have to tell you… it’s getting a little weird.

When this show first came out, it was around the time of the Twilight obsession and vampire shows were popping up from the Vampire Diaries to True Blood. The idea of watching a love version of Twilight in Louisiana did not seem like it would be a huge hit (that was an under estimation). True Blood may contain some love aspects, but it has gone so far into the realm of the supernatural that it has truly taken on its own identity.

As a treat, HBO gave fans a chance to watch the second episode of True Blood season 4, a full week early by logging on to HBO GO from their desktop, iPad or smartphone. Beginning on Sunday, June 26, episode 2, entitled, "You Smell Like Dinner," became available on HBO GO immediately following the season 4 premiere episode “She's Not There,” which debuts on the main HBO channel at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Episode 2 will remain on the HBO GO service throughout the week leading up to its HBO main channel debut on Sunday, July 3 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), and in perpetuity.

It has not been established if early debuts will be a continued option for HBO GO.  I did downloaded the app to my iPhone, but when I was given the option of service provider it indicated that Time Warner Cable was not a provider that supported this app. I would be able to use it with AT&T or Direct TV. So I will continue to view the episodes at their original airtime. (Updated as of today Monday you can watch episode 3 online with HBO GO).
