Armed Robber Caught On Camera In Caledonia Holdup

According to Caledonia police, officers set up a perimeter on a residence at Indian Tr. and Lamberton Rd.

CALEDONIA, WI — Police in Caledonia are reporting that a masked robber held up the Deli Food Express on Six Mile Road, and managed to elude authorities as he made his getaway on Monday. Police were, however, able to obtain video surveillance footage that showed the suspect.

On Aug. 13, Caledonia Police responded to a report of an armed robbery. While officers were responding, it was reported a person in a vehicle was following the suspect, who was on foot.

According to Caledonia police, officers set up a perimeter on a residence at Indian Tr. and Lamberton Rd. With the assistance of Mt. Pleasant and the City of Racine K-9 officer the property was cleared, however the suspect was not located.

According to police reports, a clerk who is pregnant and who was working behind the counter at the Deli Food Express reported that a black man with light complexion, between 5-feet-8 inches tall and 5-feet-10 inches tall wearing a black hoodie with a black cloth covering his face, baggy blue jeans and black gloves entered the store with a gun and demanded money.

While giving the robber an undisclosed amount of money, a customer entered the store,and the robber ordered the 38-year-old man to get on the ground. The suspect fled on foot. Caledonia rescue responded as a precaution to check on the pregnant woman.
