BP Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

Police have arrested the two people they believe responsible for an armed robbery at the Town of Norway BP gas station last week.

RACINE COUNTY -- Police have arrested the two people they believe responsible for an armed robbery at the Town of Norway BP gas station last week.

Racine Sheriff’s Investigators were able to identify the vehicle involved and have taken two females into custody for the attempted robbery. The suspects are identified as Melina A. Duemling from Mukwonago and Summer E. Swain of Wind Lake.

Both suspects were taken into custody at their residences on Wednesday. Both suspects are currently being held at the Racine County Jail on numerous felony charges. The investigation into this matter is ongoing and there is currently no other information available.

The Robbery Attempt

Three days after a suspect used a rifle to conduct a robbery at the BP Gas Station in the Town of Norway, police are looking for two more suspects who tried a similar robbery while armed with a knife.

An arrest was made in connection with the rifle-toting suspect, and here is information on the suspects in the knife-related robbery.

On Sep. 29 at 7:41 p.m. the Racine County Sheriff’s Office responded to the BP Gas Station at 7812 S. Loomis Rd in the Town of Norway for an attempted robbery call. Upon deputies arrival the suspects had already fled the scene.

Deputies and investigators learned two females entered the store and attempted to steal money from the cash register while using a knife.

The suspects were unsuccessful in their robbery and did not get any money or property. Nobody was hurt in the robbery attempt.

The suspects were described two white females in their late teens to early twenties. 5’01” – 5’06”. Both have thin builds. It is believed a late 90’s to early 2000’s Buick LeSabre with a tan landau/vinyl roof may have been involved.
