River Bend Nature Center welcomes the community to a free community weekend of outdoor experiences for the third consecutive year. The community is invited to enjoy a free sampling of various nature center activities on August 15th and 16th. Visitors can enjoy a nature hike guided by a naturalist, a chance to try out archery, dipping a beeswax candle, and/or a kayak or canoe paddle on the Root River, all at no cost. The self guided hiking trails, story trail, natural playscape and discovery trail are also available. The activities are at no cost, thanks to a sponsorship by Foxconn.
