Join us for an eight-session Tai Chi class designed to help you build balance, flexibility, focus, and relaxation through gentle, flowing movements.
The style of Taichi is called Yang’s style Taichi, which was developed in the past 100 years to be more of a wellness practice than competitive martial arts.It is first of all a meditation in motion. When practiced in natural surroundings, accompanied by Zen music, it helps one to reduce stress and to achieve harmony with nature and inspiration from nature.Secondly, being a physical exercise, it helps to increase lower body strength such as thigh and knee.Last but not least, being a full body movement, it improves coordination and balance. This is why Taichi is one of the most popular wellness exercises in China and is rapidly gaining popularity here in the US.
This class will be conducted by Bodan Ma. Boden studied Taichi for years in China. He is certified as level V Taichi Master by the Chinese Martial Art Association and won the Bronze award in the 2025 Shanghai International Martial Art Festival.
