Intro to Geocache - Caledonia Conservancy

Come get your adventure on!    Caledonia Conservancy is conducting an Intro to Geocache class indoors at Eco Justice Center (and if weather permits, outdoors for caches too). Dave Janowski, Caledonia Conservancy board member and avid geocacher will lead the class.  You will learn how to get to Caledonia Conservancy’s public access lands like the Trout Ponds Prairie, Tabor Woods, King’s Corner and the Neighbor Central Walk all located in Caledonia.

Class will learn what geo-caching is, different types of caches, how to get started, a little about trackables, types of geocaches and more! Warning: this is addicting. With some experience, you can even design your own geo cache game for others to follow! We will begin your adventure at Eco Justice Center “the red “education station” building.

Learn where and how to search for geo caches available in the Caledonia area by accessing certain web sites. You must bring your own handheld GPS and have a working knowledge of your device. Dress appropriately for weather as there may be some hiking. For more information call 262-498-4993.
