ENVIRONMENT FOCUS OF APRIL 2 AAUW RACINE MEETING,
RESERVATION DEADLINE MARCH 25:
Dr. Joy Wolf, a UW-Parkside professor in the Department
of Geography, will speak on “Protecting and Restoring Biodiversity” on Tuesday,
April 2, at Infusino’s Banquet Hall, 3201 Rapids Dr.

Registration will start at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m.
and program at 7:30 p.m. Reservations
can be made by sending a $16.00 check, made out to Racine AAUW, to Pat Holt, PO
Box 214, Somers, WI 53171. The deadline
for reservations is March 25.
While the program can be attended free-of-charge,
reservations are still requested in order to have enough seating. Call 262-859-3085.

Dr. Wolf is a biogeographer who studies forest, wetland,
grassland, soil and fire ecology research in a variety of communities including
ephemeral ponds, oak savanna, and maple-beech forests in Wisconsin.
Her present and past community service includes the
Southeastern Wisconsin Invasive Species Monitoring program, assisting the
Kenosha Conversation Association for Pike River restoration, assisting the
Wisconsin DNR with prescribed burns and serving as a Chiwaukee Prairie
Preservation Fund and Hawthorn Hollow Nature Center board member.
