Spring Flower and Nature Walk

Enjoy a morning nature walk in beautiful Tabor Woods, one of Caledonia Conservancy's public access preserved land parcels.  The nature walk will be led by Kay McClelland.

Tabor Woods is a natural old growth forest rich with spring native flowers like Wild geraniums, Trillium, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, May Apples, Salomon Seal, and endangered species like Blakhaw Viburnum and blue-stemmed Goldenrod.  Expect to also see wildlife, reptiles and animal habitats among the protected old growth American Beech Trees, maples, oaks, hickory and butternut. 

There are trees in Tabor Woods that are over 300 years old, as it was never farmed or harvested for commercial use.  Meet at entrance to McCalvy section of Tabor Woods at end of Tabor Road cul-de-sac west of Hwy. 31.
