Female Who Died in Durand Ave House Fire Has Been Identified
Fire and rescue removed the body of a woman from the scene of a house fire late Friday.

MOUNT PLEASANT - The female who reportedly lost her life in a house fire on Durand Ave has been identified.
Authorities say Lori L Liesner, age 49, of Mount Pleasant was taken out of a home on Durand Ave by firefighters responding to a house fire.
Liesner's cause of death remains undetermined pending the results of an autopsy, police said.

According to a release issued from the South Shore Fire Department, they responded to a fire on the 6600 block of Durand Avenue just after 11 p.m. Friday.
When they arrived on scene, they reported that a one-story single-family home had heavy fire and smoke visible from several windows.

Firefighters began an interior fire attack upon arrival, and within five minutes, removed a deceased female occupant from the home.
The woman's name is being withheld pending the notification of family.
Firefighters remained on scene for approximately three hours as they extinguished the fire and began an investigation.
