Flight for Life Transports Drunk Driver after Serious Accident
A 55-year-old Racine County man was transported with serious injuries after a one-vehicle accident in Racine County.

RACINE COUNTY -- A 55-year-old man is in serious condition after the vehicle he was driving was involved in an auto accident in the Town of Burlington late Friday evening.
According to Racine County Sheriff's officials, dispatchers received a call at approximately 11:41 p.m. for a one-vehicle accident in the 8800 Block of McHenry St in the Town of Burlington.
Deputies, along with Fire and Rescue Personnel from Wheatland, Twin Lakes, City of Burlington, and Town of Burlington, responded to the scene. The vehicle was in the ditch and appeared to have rolled over at least once.

The operator and lone occupant of the vehicle was trapped, but extricated by rescue personnel. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The operator of the vehicle, a 55 year old male from the Town of Burlington, sustained lacerations to his head and neck. He was transported by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Sheriff's officials are recommending the charge of Operating While Under the Influence of an Intoxicant (1st offense).
