Activities throughout the afternoon include an appearance by the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club’s Famous Racing Sausages™ who will kick off “Scooter’s Annual Wiener Dog Race” at 12:30.. Dachshunds, 6 months and older, are invited to race. Cost is $2.00 per dog and applications are available at Katie’s now until 11:30 AM race day.
Other activities during the afternoon include a vendor area with dog toys from Dog’s Best Friend, and other dog items and treats from Lisa’s Crafts Galore for Your Pets, as well as others.
HOPE Safehouse, Pug Hug Pug Rescue, as well as a number of other breed-specific rescue groups will be on site. “We hope people who are considering adding a dog to their family will consider a rescued dog. With proper care and training they make wonderful pets,” said Katie Tatro, co-owner of KCK. “It’s an opportunity to give a dog another chance at a good life,” said Ginny Singleton, co-owner.

The event also includes an open house to showcase KCK’s new headquarters. “We’re just a little north of our old location. We’ve grown so much we had to find larger space and we’re excited for people to see this great, dog-friendly new home,” said Tatro.
