CALEDONIA -- Police are looking for the suspects responsible for stealing more than 1,300 gallons of gas from the Caledonia BP by using a device to bypass the gas station's credit card system.
On 07/25/16, 07/27/16, and 08/03/16 a total of 1,316 gallons of gasoline were stolen from BP on 7 Mile Rd at the E. Frontage Rd, 7952 E. Frontage Rd, Villageof Caledonia. On each date, the crime occurred between 12:30am and 2:30am.
During each incident, a large, bright red, paneled Chevy van pulled up to the gas pumps. A black male suspect used an unknown device to bypass the credit card reader and activate the pump. There is no record of the gas being stolen other than video surveillance. The suspect placed the nozzle inside of the van and filled large holding tanks or 55 gallon drums, according to an alert from the Wisconsin crime network.
