Motorcycle Rider Without Helmet Transported via Flight for Life After Serious Crash

Authorities were dispatched to a one-vehicle motorcycle accident in the 8400 block of E Wind Lake Rd in the town of Norway Sunday night.

RACINE COUNTY -- A motorcycle driver who was not wearing their helmet was transported via Flight for Life with serious injuries after an accident Sunday night.

According to the Racine County Sheriff's office, authorities were dispatched to the scene of a one-vehicle motorcycle accident in the 8400 block of E Wind Lake Rd in the town of Norway just before 6 p.m.

The caller who alerted authorities stated that the motorcycle operator was lying on the ground unconscious and breathing. Deputies arriving on scene confirmed it was a one vehicle motorcycle accident and that the operator was thrown from the vehicle, had landed on a driveway, and was not wearing a helmet.

Wind lake Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene and requested Flight for Life for the operator due to his injuries. The operator was transported via Flight for Life to Froedert Hospital.

The crash is still under investigation but Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, authorities said.
