Motorcyclist Dead after Reportedly Striking Mailbox, Tree

Deputies arriving on scene confirmed it was a one vehicle motorcycle accident and that the operator was deceased.

RACINE COUNTY -- A motorcyclist is dead after a one-vehicle accident in the Town of Raymond.

According to the Racine County Sheriff's office, the Racine County Communications Center took a 911 call of a one-vehicle motorcycle accident in the 3600 block of 108th St. in the in the town of Raymond.

The caller stated that the motorcycle appeared to have hit a mailbox and a tree and that the operator did not appear to be breathing.

According to the Sheriff's office, the person who called police did not witness the accident but had come upon it. Deputies arriving on scene confirmed it was a one vehicle motorcycle accident and that the operator was deceased. Based on evidence at the scene the accident appeared to have happened a number of hours prior to the 911 call reporting the accident.

Sheriff's officials say that neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash.
