Narcan Saves Man's Life - 4 Hours After He Graduated From 2-Yr. Drug Program

CALEDONIA -- Caledonia police managed to save a man's life with the use of Narcan - four hours after he graduated from a two-year drug treatment program.

According to police, Caledonia police officers officers were dispatched to the 430 3 Mile Rd, for a possible overdose just after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

While on scene, officers discovered an unresponsive male with no pulse and began CPR. They administered two doses of Narcan and continued CPR.

Within a short time, officers noticed the man take a breath and were able to locate a pulse. Caledonia Rescue responded and took over lifesaving efforts.

The man was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Racine and was subsequently admitted.

According to police, the man had graduated from a two year drug treatment program at 3:00 pm on the same day.

He was arrested for Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers from Caledonia, Wind Point and Caledonia Fire performed life saving measures.
