Drunk Driver Faces 2 Homicide Charges in Crash that Killed Man, 9-Year-Old Daughter

A 39 year old dad and 9 year old girl died in a crash Friday night in Caledonia. Here's how you can help the family:

CALEDONIA β€” A serious crash in Caledonia has reportedly claimed two lives Friday night.

According to Caledonia police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a sedan and pick-up truck were traveling east on 4 Mile Rd. The sedan slowed to make a left turn into a subdivision and was rear ended by the pick-up truck.

Police have identified the two accident victims who died Friday night: Kevin Dalley, 39, Racine and Emily Daley, 9, died in the crash.

Driver Charged

The driver of the sedan and his 9 year old daughter died as a result of the collision. A six year old in the sedan sustained injuries and was transported to Wheaton Fransiscan Hospital.

The operator of the pick-up, Levi G. Ruohonen was transported to Froedtert Hospital and was arrested on suspicion of two counts of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle. This is his second OWI. Speed may also be a factor. Caledonia Police were assisted by State Patrol and Mt. Pleasant Police Department.

According to a Journal Times report from the scene, Caledonia police and fire units were dispatched at about 4:50 p.m. to the 6200 block of 4 Mile Road for a crash with possible entrapment and possibly an injured child.
