Silver Alert: Racine County.: Missing Union Grove Man Found Safe

RACINE COUNTY -- After an extensive search by law enforcement, a man who had gone missing in Union Grove has been found safe.

The Incident

The Racine County Sheriff's Office had issued a Silver Alert for a missing Racine County man, who reportedly walked away from his Union Grove senior community late Friday night or Saturday morning.

The Racine County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call for a missing adult from the Harvest View Estates in Union Grove, WI. Deputies were told that Wilfred E. Rushford, 76 he is 5’7, 135lbs, gray hair, and brown eyes. Wilfred walked away from his home sometime between 11pm and 2am.

An extensive search was done in the area that included the use of the Racine County Sheriff's K-9 unit, thermal imaging units, and assistance from adjacent police agencies.
