St. Joseph Church to Host Taize Prayer
Taizé Prayer is a candlelight service with music, scripture, silence and prayer. We pray for peace and reconciliation for all.
As all Christians prepare for the coming of the Christ Child, the community of St. Joseph Church invites you to pause amidst the busy preparations for Christmas by spending an evening in quiet, with candlelight and reflective music from the Taizé tradition.
The spoken and sung prayer is a strong testament to a world yearning for peace on earth. The Taizé music offers a form of prayer that emphasizes the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives. In this form of prayer we offer our gratitude to God for the wonderful gift of the birth that changed history.
STJ invites everyone to join them in prayer. Those who never have experienced Taizé prayer are welcome to come and be present in heart and mind, to learn the music which is sung, to hear the proclamation of Scripture and experience the Holy Spirit present to all.
