Union Grove Teen from Raymond Crash Has Passed Away

YORKVILLE - The 17-year-old driver in a Wednesday traffic accident at county highway U and 2 Mile Road has tragically passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
According to a report from the Racine County Eye on Thursday, Taylor Skendziel had passed away from her injuries.
The Racine County Eye reported Thursday that Skendziel, 17, was driving two friends – Charlee Warner and Sadie Regep, both 15 – to their Union Grove High School JV softball banquet at the time of the accident.

The Incident
On Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at approximately 1800 hours the Racine County Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of CTH U and 2 Mile Road in the Town of Yorkville, Racine County.

Racine County Sheriff’s Deputies responded as did fire and rescue crews from Union Grove / Yorkville, Raymond, and Wind Lake. The accident involved a 2003 Honda Pilot SUV which was occupied by a 58 year old male driver and a 2003 Dodge Neon sedan which was occupied by 3 teenage females.
The driver of the Honda suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the occupants of the Dodge suffered life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge had to be extricated and was transported from the scene via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
