The male sustained serious injuries, but they were not life threatening. The wife did not survive her injuries and passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital.

Racine County Sheriff's preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the second vehicle failed to yield the right of way while making a left turn. At this time it appears alcohol was not a contributing factor in the crash. It appeared all parties were using their seat belts at the time of the crash.
