Want To Watch The Greatest Prom Ever? Here's What You Need To Know
The venue may have changed from Racine to Sturtevant, but the night promises to be a ton of fun and parents can watch this unique event.

If you are heading to the Sturtevant Sportsplex to watch the post prom activities, on Saturday, hereβs what youβll need to know.
The 2012 Rotary Passport to Prom will be held from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Sturtevant Sportsplex, 10116 Stellar Ave, according to a press release. Hosted by the Downtown Rotary Club, the event will be aired live from 8 to 11 p.m. on WVTV Channel 18. Viewers can also watch Rotary Post Prom online at: www.CW18Milwaukee.com.
Parents, families and friends will be able to sit in the bleachers to watch the red carpet arrivals and can follow Washington Avenue west to West Road. Turn left and follow the signs to find a spot in the parking lot of the Andis Company.

Dozens of students helped to plan this yearβs gala and created the travel theme. In keeping with their idea, the evening will offer prom-goers the opportunity to travel the world in prom style within the Sportsplex.
Professional fire dancers will perform for the guests, who can venture to the Far East and have their Chinese Fortunes told, get henna tattoos in India or try their riding skills on the mechanical bull in the Southwest. Β

Other activities include: laser tag, gladiator jousting, human foosball, Texas Hold βEm, the Dance Club, karaoke, professional ping pong demonstrations, video games and more.
Photographers will be on hand to capture the evening with printed souvenir photos and photos loaded on Facebook for sharing.
Tickets are $40 and are available at various high schools.
Post Prom from each school, with the first school arriving at the Sportsplex at 8:30 p.m. and the last school arriving at 10:30 p.m. (See the attached schedule).
The Post Prom tradition always brings many spectators eager to watch their friends and family walk the Post Prom red carpet. In addition to the usual free viewing spots, this year reserved seating is available for $5, $10 and $25. The VIP contribution of $25 will also provide reserved parking and a behind-the-scenes tour. T-shirts for $10 and DVDs for $25 to commemorate the evening are also available on the web site.

The Rotary Post Prom is a civic project of the Downtown Rotary Club, which raises money yearlong for the event. This year marks the 60th Rotary Post Prom. The event was created to ensure student safety during prom night. Students are locked in the facility and must sign out when they leave.
