SSM Health supports Fondy Food Pantry Food for Thought program (kfiz.com) — Students in the Campbellsport School District are among about 1,100 children weekly receiving nutritious weekend food bags and school-day snacks through Fondy Food Pantry's Food for Thought program, now boosted by a $20,000 gift from SSM Health. The long-running effort aims to reduce childhood hunger across Fond du Lac County, helping kids stay focused in class and ensuring access to healthy food when school isn't in session.
2. Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit accents nature's beauty (sheboyganpress.com) — Stunning new photos showcase the Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit and nearby Long Lake, just outside Campbellsport, highlighting fall colors, lakeside vistas, and familiar spots like Dundee Mountain and the Ice Age Visitor Center. For Campbellsport residents, it's a timely reminder of the hiking, paddling, and scenic drives available minutes from home as autumn sets in.
3. Top high school performers in Oshkosh, Fond du Lac from Sept. 21-27 (thenorthwestern.com) — Campbellsport athletes made a strong showing in last week's regional high school sports, with runner Garrett Pickering winning the Lourdes Academy Invitational and football standout Sawyer Galligan scoring four touchdowns against North Fond du Lac. Volleyball player Emma Muraski also stuffed the stat sheet in a win over Omro, giving Campbellsport fans plenty to cheer about across multiple sports.
4. UW-Oshkosh alumni Class Notes: Oct. 2026 (uwosh.edu) — A Campbellsport resident, history teacher Karl McCarty, has been honored with the Daughters of the American Revolution's 2026 Outstanding Teacher of American History Award for his engaging approach in the classroom. The UW-Oshkosh alumni notes also spotlight Fond du Lac educators, including a first-grade teacher at Eden Elementary in the Campbellsport School District, underscoring local pride in area schools.
5. Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Blamed for Hospitalization of 8 Persons (whbl.com) — Emergency crews including Campbellsport Ambulance rushed to a rural Osceola home near Long Lake early Wednesday after eight family members, including six children, showed severe carbon monoxide poisoning symptoms. All were taken to area hospitals, and authorities are still investigating the source, offering a stark reminder for Campbellsport-area residents to check detectors and heating equipment as cooler weather arrives.
