• Total seclusion, restraint incidents dropping in Monona Grove schools (hngnews.com) — Families in Cottage Grove's Monona Grove School District are seeing fewer seclusion and restraint incidents, with total cases dropping over the past two years and Cottage Grove School logging 19 last year. District leaders say most incidents involve a small number of high-needs students, and they're expanding training and trauma-informed approaches to reduce emergency interventions further and keep kids safely in class.
• Endangered person in Wisconsin found safe after using license-plate-reading technology in multi-agency search (wearegreenbay.com) — An endangered person search briefly centered in the Town of Cottage Grove after license-plate readers helped officers track a vehicle there before the individual traveled on to Madison. Multiple agencies, including the Dane County Sheriff's Office, coordinated to locate the person and confirm they were safe in temporary housing. No ongoing threat or risk to Cottage Grove residents was reported.
