• Man sentenced for illegal gun possession following search warrant in Monkeyshines homicide investigation (wmtv15news.com) — Fitchburg police report that a search warrant from the 2025 Monkeyshines homicide investigation helped uncover an illegal rifle and nearly 500 grams of counterfeit fentanyl-laced pills at a Sun Prairie home. While the homicide suspect already received 15 years in prison, the homeowner, a convicted felon, has now been sentenced to six years in federal prison plus supervised release for possessing the firearm.
