21-Year-Old Arrested in Glendale Shooting Death of Nya Hammond
The 19-year-old mother was shot in a parking lot in the 400 block of River Woods Parkway on Monday, September 26th, 2016 at about 5:30 am.
GLENDALE -- The Glendale Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation that occurred in a parking lot in the 400 block of River Woods Parkway on Monday, September 26th, 2016 at about 5:30am.
That's when police and fire were called to the parking lot near the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin, near Port Washington Road and River Woods Parkway. The victim, a 19 year old Milwaukee woman, was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Nya Hammond of Milwaukee.
As the investigation moves forward more information will be released. At this point, only information that does not impede the integrity of the case will be available.

A 21 year old Milwaukee man was arrested in connection to this incident.
Glendale Police is actively working with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in regards to criminal charges at this time.
