Community Update

of Milwaukee, February 2014)—  Emily
and Charlie Penner, of Fox Point, checked out spider monkeys while sampling wine at Wines and Beers of the
World on Feb. 6. The Zoological Society of Milwaukee (ZSM) fundraising event
had guests sampling wines and beers from countries like Chile, Italy, and
France. The evening event, held at the Milwaukee County Zoo, also featured
nearly 20 food vendors.
The more than 540 guests could sample everything from mini-cupcakes and pizza to ice cream and
mozzarella sticks. The Zoo’s Apes of Africa and Primates of the World buildings
were open for after-hours animal visits. The money raised benefits all the
animals at the Zoo.
