Lifeguard Training Blended Learning Intensive class
The program includes Deep Water Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED. A pocket mask is included in the fee. Lifeguarding certification is current for two years.
A pre-test will be held on the first day of the program. Persons unable to complete the pre-test satisfactorily will not be allowed to continue.
Pre-test details:
Prerequisite 1: Jump in, submerge, resurface and swim 150 yards continuously, tread water for 2 minutes without the use of your hands, and then swim 50 more yards. While swimming, you must keep your face in the water and demonstrate good breath control. You may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is not permitted. Swim goggles are allowed. When treading, you must use only your legs. Prerequisite 2: Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. Your face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed. Surface dive (head-first or feet-first) to a depth of 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on your back to return to the starting point, holding the brick at the surface with both hands and keeping your face at or near the surface. Swimming the distance underwater is not permitted. Exit the water without using a ladder or the steps.
Participation in all sessions is required. Must pass a written test with 80% or higher plus three scenario practical skill tests to be certified. Please bring proof of age to first class.
No refunds will be given after the registration deadline begins. You must complete all online work prior to in person class start. Please print a completion certificate and send it to the instructor prior to class start date. You will be able to access the American Red Cross system once confirmation of class is completed with an email to the participant. Register the actual participant with your personal email only. No duplicate emails permitted.
If you work for the Nicolet Rec Dept. as a lifeguard after completion of this certification we will reimburse you for this program fee, after working continuously for at least one year.

Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid Blended Learning
This is an online course with in-person testing for CPR/AED/First Aid that covers ages birth thru puberty. The online portion must be completed and the completion certificate emailed to the instructor prior to the class start date. An American Red Cross email will be automatically generated to your email to enter into the system two weeks prior to class. Certification is valid for two years.
Register with your personal email only. No refunds will be given once the registration deadline arrives.
Registration deadline is two weeks before class begins. An email will be sent prior to class detailing the manual/prerequisites requirements.
