The Nurturing Nook Learning Center for Children is having an Open House, Thursday April 18th at it's RiverPoint location, in celebration of "The Week of The Young Child".

The celebration is an annual event sponsored by the NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The purpose is to focus public attention on the educational needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. Established by the NAEYC in 1971 The Week of the Young Child is celebrated annually; this year April 14-20; with the theme being "EARLY YEARS ARE LEARNING YEARS" It is a recognition that that the early childhood years (birth through 8 years) lay the foundation for children's success in school and later life.
