Congratulations to Rachel Wilkinson and Loren Wright on being named finalists in the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
This program recognizes academically promising Black American high school students throughout the nation and provides scholarships to a number of the most outstanding program participants. Students are selected from requested consideration when they took the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).
Semifinalists are designated within geographic regions and are the highest-scoring program entrants in the states that make up each region.
The selection of some 800 Achievement Scholarship winners from the Finalist group is now in progress. The names of Achievement Scholarship designees will be announced in early April.
