The Athletes for Autism Foundation will host a community-wide event for individuals with autism and their families on Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Discovery World, 500 N. Harbor Dr., Milwaukee.
All are welcome to attend, including those not affected by an Autism Spectrum Disorder, and the first 100 to RSVP for the event will receive free admission. Attendees also will receive a complementary Autism Day at Discovery World Guidebook created by Autism Speaks Milwaukee, which gives sensory details about each Discovery World exhibit.

Staff present on Autism Day at Discovery World has received educational training on autism and interacting with this specific community. In the future, Discovery World plans to use this training presentation to educate its entire staff on this growing epidemic.
Autism Speaks Milwaukee focuses on science and research, family services, awareness and advocacy in the Milwaukee area and across 10 university campuses.
