The Nicolet team of Elizabeth Tavolier, Briana Gray, and Daniel Lerner (left to right in photo) bested about 20 teams to win the Wisconsin Economics Econ Challenge held recently in Brookfield.
What made winning the event even sweeter was that each student received $100, an appropriate first-place prize for an economics competition.
The challenge consisted of individual tests in the morning and a team quiz bowl in the afternoon.
