North Shore Bank Partners with the Wisconsin Humane Society to Host a Picnic and Pet Event

Date:    Friday, Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

SHOREWOOD, Wis -- North Shore Bank today announced that its Shorewood branch will join forces with the Wisconsin Humane Society to hold a picnic and pet event on Friday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its office located at 4414 N. Oakland Avenue in Shorewood.

The public is invited to bring their pets for some fun pet-related activities that include a visit by Humane Society animals looking for new homes and grooming tips and nail clipping by Vanity Fur. A picnic lunch of hot dogs, chips and lemonade will be served.

People are also invited to drop off a donation for the Wisconsin Humane Society at any of these North Shore Bank offices:

Some of the items from the organization's wish lists for companion animals, wildlife, and shelter guests include, dry cat food, toys and treats, unscented non-clumping cat litter, dog grooming clippers, towels, disinfectant wipes for hands, berries, GPS navigation unit – new or gently used in-vehicle recent model, automatic paper shredder, rolling office chairs, staplers, stamps, steno notebooks, animal-themed stickers, digital video camera, Alkaline batteries – AA, AAA, 9-Volt or D, bleach and hand sanitizer pump bottles.

Picnic attendees can also support the Humane Society by purchasing home-made goodies from the bank's bake sale.

"The Wisconsin Humane Society does great work in our community, and we wanted to do something to support this worthwhile organization and help our friends and neighbors have some fun with their furry friends,” said Michelle Padovano, manager of North Shore Bank’s Shorewood office.  "We’ll have a lot of activities and chances for people to win great prizes, and we encourage everyone to stop by and join in the fun.”
