
Two teachers at , Mr. John Rhude and Mrs. Sue Bolly, were recently recognized for their professional dedication and accomplishments.
John Rhude, a member of the Nicolet Science Department, has been awarded the Wisconsin School Forest Award presented by the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education.
Rhude is responsible for transforming what was formerly known as “the woods” behind Nicolet High School into the officially recognized Nicolet School Forest. He incorporated the forest into his biology and environmental science curriculum and implements the forest management plan with assistance from over 100 students.

Sue Bolly, a member of the Nicolet Social Studies Department, has earned her National Board Certification, from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Bolly, as part of the extremely rigorous National Board Certification process, completed 10 assessments that include four portfolio entries that feature teaching practice and six constructed response exercises that assess content knowledge. The National Board Certification
process is designed to recognize outstanding teachers who meet high standards based on what teachers should know and be able to do.
District Administrator Rick Monroe, said that both John and Sue are exemplary educators who engage and transform their students and who personify quality instruction every day at Nicolet.
