Two Nicolet Students Win Top Awards at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards Exhibition

Two Nicolet students placed among the top 10 in the state in the 2012 Wisconsin Association of School Boards Art Exhibition.

Junior Chara Yu earned first place and senior Erin Wilson earned fifth place.  In addition to being recognized for their
work, both students will be receiving significant monetary awards in the form of US Savings Bonds, generously provided by Liberty Mutual/Indiana Insurance.  Their work will be on display during the WASB Convention from
Jan. 18 and 19 at the Frontier Airlines Center along with work created by students from all over the state of Wisconsin.  

Chara is the daughter of David Rutter and Rose Yu Rutter of Glendale.  Erin is the daughter of James and Ann Wilson of Glendale.

In addition, as the first place winner, Chara Yu and her family will be honored at a ceremony on Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Frontier Airlines Center in Milwaukee.  Chara’s original award winning work will be framed and hung at the Indiana Insurance Company offices in Milwaukee and another copy at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards
offices in Madison. Chara will be given a framed printed copy of her work to take home.
