Cantor Salman Returns to Temple Menorah for the High Holidays
Cantor Marcos Salman will return to Temple Menorah to assist with our 2012 High Holiday services.

Rabbi Gil-Ezer Lerer of Temple Menorah, a traditional congregation in Milwaukee, announced "Cantor Marcos Salman will return to Temple Menorah to assist with our 2012 High Holiday services. We feel privileged to have such an outstanding Chazzan on our bemah. His interpretation of the liturgy will inspire all of our congregants to have a meaningful and rewarding High Holiday experience."
Cantor Marcos Salman will be chanting the holiday liturgy for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur beginning Sept. 16 at 6 p.m.
He was recognized internationally for his lyric tenor voice, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He sang with his father, Cantor Eliezer SalmanZ”L beginning at age six. The elder Cantor Salman was Cantor Marcos Salman’s cantorial teacher, operatic singers Antonio Carrión and Hilda Angelici were his operatic coaches. Cantor Marcos Salman has performed at several prominent synagogues in Buenos Aires, the United States, South and Central America. In 1982 he was invited by Rabbi Shoop Z”L of Pennsylvania to be permanent cantor in his synagogue. Cantor Salman returned to Buenos Aires in 2004 for family reasons and has served the community there for the last seven years.

Temple Menorah’s Membership Dues will again be offered at $36.00 for first-time members to ease the possible financial burden of joining a congregation. Rabbi Lerer stressed that Temple Menorah offers this rate to insure that synagogue affiliation will be affordable for all who wish to be part of the synagogue family.
