Culver’s Co-Founders to Help Launch Culver’s Restaurant in JA BizTown March 12

Culver's Coming to Junior Achievement's BizTown: March 12th Ribbon Cutting to Feature Craig and Lea Culver

Culver’s co-founders Craig and Lea Culver will join 100 students from Allen Field Elementary to announce the Grand Opening of the new Culver’s Restaurant within JA BizTown. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring the day’s Student Mayor along with Culver’s representatives. The simulated restaurant in BizTown marks a $150,000 Culver’s sponsorship over the next five years.

At JA BizTown, within the JA Kohl’s Education Center, Elementary School students put on “real world” hats to operate or work in a bank, newspaper, restaurant, radio station, city hall, retail stores and 10 other businesses, one of which will now be a Culver’s Restaurant. JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a fully interactive, simulated town. Students leave understanding the relationship between what they learn in school and their participation in a local economy.
