Emmy-award winning storyteller and public speaker Jim May has a way with words, and he’s been teaching his gift of gab to Bayside Middle School students during April as the school’s artist in residence.
May has been teaching students how to diagram and create their own tall tales while also focusing on the techniques of delivery that make a great story come alive. Along the way, May has kept students entertained by spinning yarns about mythology, world cultures, and ghosts.
On Monday, students will show off their new storytelling skills during a school assembly at 2:15 p.m. May will share more super stories during the assembly as well.
