Peak Bird Migration Taking Place at SANC
The spring migrants have arrived in our area and Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is the perfect location for bird-watching enthusiasts to see a variety of interesting species.

The 'Warbler Wave' is here! An endangered warbler that was verified by the naturalists here at SANC on May 1 is said to be a worm-eating warbler. These thousands of colorful and cheerful songsters that pass through our grounds (and are pretty much concentrated along the edge of the lake) are the apex of a bird-watcher’s delight.
They will continue to infiltrate our area all month long but start looking soon, as the trees and shrubs are starting their leaf development and within about two weeks will mask our ability to see them.
